The White Room was beyond what I had expected for my wedding gown shopping experience. The owner of the shop, Agnes, is extremely professional, attentive, is great at helping you get in/out of the dresses. There is a beautiful assortment of dresses in stock (I did not try on a single one that I didn't like). I really enjoyed being able to walk through the showroom and hand-pick the dresses that I wanted to try on, and when I found a dress that I loved, I did not feel pushed or persuaded at all to make a purchase. I am beyond happy with the dress I found there and the whole experience I had there from start to finish. I can't wait to go back to get the bridesmaids dresses now!
If I could give this store a zero I would. Stopped in to take a look around at 4:30 pm (store closes at 5:00 pm) and the snow has been melting all day and my shoes were wet from walking from my car into the store. I got about five feet in the door and the woman who works there asked me if I was looking for anything in particular-I said no. She then asks me to take off my shoes so I don't wet her floor. I said no and left immediately. Enough said. Customer service? Not even close.
Very cute place, and beautiful dresses, but very limited selection. The service was really not what we were expecting after going to other places in Medicine Hat and Calgary. It may have just been a busy day, but they really only asked us to pick a few dresses to try on, then they put them in the dressing room and left us. We were also sharing the space with other groups of people. Normally, businesses like this would only book as many appointments are there are spaces to try on and sit around with your group to make it feel personal. They would also help you do up the dresses and clip them up to help you envision how it would look in your size. It was the worst service out of all they places we went, and it was the one that I had expected the best service, being a little boutique shop. It may have just been the day, but I hope they work on the service so that it is not so underwhelming for other customers.
I came in from out of town having heard good things of the store. When I walked in I was blown away. The store was beautiful and immaculately clean, something you would see in a big city like Calgary or Edmonton. The service was fantastic and I actually found my perfect dress directly off the rack! Would highly recommend.
